Man oh man, there is a lot of ocean shipping related legislation being proposed from the U.S. House of Representatives – and another one dropped this week. Let’s break it down. Remember, these are just proposals, but they’re certainly worth taking a look at.

1- The State of California announced $27M in funding for CA ports to support the California Port Data Partnership. Ports involved are: Port of Long Beach, Port of Los Angeles, Port of Oakland, Port of San Diego, and the Port of Hueneme

2- The Federal Maritime Commission rescheduled it's Commission Meeting to May 3, 2023

3- The Federal Maritime Commission's National Shipper Advisory Commitee is scheduled to meet next on May 11, 2023. It will be in person, but also streamed out on the FMC's YouTube page.
