Let's dive in...
1- We're still on supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking watch! The Federal Maritime Commission's Unreasonable Refusal to Deal or Negotiate with respect to Vessel Space Accommodations Final Rule was required (under OSRA 22) to be released December 16, 2022, but they announced they would be publishing a supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking. We'll be on the lookout!
2- Speaking of rules - we have three rules we're watching out of the Federal Maritime Commission 1) Unreasonable refusal to deal or negotiate w/r/t vessel space accommodations, 2) Detention and demurrage billing and invoice requirements, 3) Unjust or unjust discriminatory methods
3- Are the International Longshore Warehouse Union (ILWU) and Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) making progress?
